HydraFacial Explained

Why is everyone raving about HydraFacial?

8 out of 10 dermatologists recommend HydraFacial as their favourite treatment for no-downtime skin rejuvenation. This is because the treatment itself takes only 30 minutes to perform – and is done only once a month!

HydraFacial is the first of its kind in Australia and has taken America’s celebrities by storm. HydraFacial is a pore cleansing treatment that can decrease blemishes, congestion, and remove the upper dull layer of dead skin cells, which results in an instant rejuvenation of the skin. Additionally, fine wrinkles and lines can be diminished and provide the skin with a healthy glow for an instant pickup.*
HydraFacial sets the standard for non-laser facial rejuvenation. It is the only procedure that simultaneously combines skin cleansing with extraction, skin exfoliation, hydration, and infusion. This treatment detoxifies, rejuvenates, and replenishes hydration in one quick and easy treatment.*

Who is a good candidate for HydraFacial treatment?

Almost all patients can benefit from the HydraFacial skin rejuvenation treatment. From dull, sun-damaged skin to oily congested skin, and even rosacea patients can benefit from HydraFacial. Our specialists ensure a custom fit treatment to ensure the perfect settings for any skin condition.*

How long do HydraFacial treatments last?

Depending on the level, number of passes, and the amount of infusions, HydraFacial takes between 25 to 35 minutes to perform.*

Which conditions can be treated with HydraFacial?

HydraFacial’s unique spiral tip allows us to perform intense cleaning, as well as exfoliation and extraction of blackheads and unclog pores. We simultaneously deliver growth factors and serums to the skin. Think of HydraFacial as a super microdermabrasion with the added capability of infusion.

HydraFacial can treat the following skin conditions*:

1. Skin congestion and clogged pores
2. Blackheads and whiteheads
3. Sun damage, brown spots and sunspots
4. Fine lines
5. Skin pigmentation, including the improvement of melasma
6. Dull, sun-damaged, and dehydrated skin

What does the procedure involve and what does HydraFacial feel like?

HydraFacial combines five different spa therapies to exfoliate, extract, hydrate, renourish, and rejuvenate your skin. The specialised spiral tip of HydraFacial glides over your face at the same time as a suction applicator is used.
Patients experience a mild tingling sensation with no pain upon the application of the HydraFacial solution.*

Here are the five stages of the HydraFacial treatment*:

1. Cleansing and Exfoliation

Dead skin cells are removed to reveal healthy new skin.

2. Gentle Acid Peel

This gentle peel helps break up dirt and dead skin cells from pores without causing any skin irritation. We use a mixture of AHA and BHAs as our peels of choice.

3. Vacuum Extraction

This automated, painless extraction uses a spiral vortex suction to clean out pores removing dead skin cells.

4. Intense Hydration

The unique feature infuses antioxidants and hyaluronic acid into the deeper layers of your skin to nourish and protect.

5. Skin Protection

The HydraFacial daily essentials help maintain, protect, and prolong your results.

What is the expected downtime following HydraFacial treatments?

Unlike laser treatments, HydraFacial requires no post-treatment downtime. Patients with sensitive skin such as eczema or rosacea, may experience some slight reddening of the skin, but most return to their normal activities immediately. Our specialists use a unique program for patients with sensitive skin and the redness will disappear a few hours after your procedure.*

How often should HydraFacial treatment be conducted?

Scientifically, it is shown that skin cells replenish every 28 days. At the Fiori Institute we incorporate HydraFacials with daily skin care creams, such as vitamin A, B, C, and E, with antioxidants and alpha-hydroxy acids.

We recommend HydraFacials monthly, as this treatment removes dead and dull skin cells during the new ‘ turnover phase’. Most of our dermatologists have HydraFacials at monthly intervals to help maintain their own skin!*

Are other treatments combined with HydraFacial treatments?

Our specialist team will often combine HydraFacial treatments with various lasers, such as the Clear + Brilliant or dermal toning. In using different methods, we can improve the upper parts of your skin and treat the deeper parts of your skin to help stimulate collagen. Remember it is the balance between skin texture, tone and volume which gives the most outstanding and natural results.*

How do I know if HydraFacial is the right treatment for me?

Our skincare specialists will go through your skin care regime and examine your skin to put together a treatment program custom-tailored to your personal needs and expectations. With over a dozen lasers, light and energy-based devices, and over six different forms of chemical peels, we will always find a solution for your needs.*
